The term chaise lounge comes from the French words for a ‘long chair,’ chaise longue (shez–lawNg). In American English, we use the word lounge instead of longue, which makes sense since a chaise lounge is a long, often armless chair that supports the legs and is often used for lounging around a patio or a pool. No matter which way you say it, we have plenty of styles for you to choose from.
Chaise lounges were created specifically for rest and relaxation. Some chaise lounges may double as an extra bed for overnight guests.
