In this day of training, you will learn:

• A season-by-season approach to your garden, including the best time for all garden activities and how to execute them correctly.
• Top ten lists of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals you will want to add to your garden this year–and a sneak-peek into what Gasper will have in-store for you in 2025. We will take a dive into the 2025 garden trends and how you can apply them in your garden.
• Best tools of the trade–along with demonstrations as to how to use and care for them.
• We will cover how to address common garden pests and diseases.
• Pruning basics.
• Edibles–basic information to help get you started as well as how to integrate them into your existing garden space.
• How to look at your garden “through a designer’s eye” to elevate your garden style.

This course is ideal of any gardener who is either new to gardening or who would like to do things better. About our instructor:

Jeannie Sachs is a professional landscape designer who calls herself a “garden evangelist” because she has been escaping to the garden since a very young age. Jeannie is our Gasper Program Director who in addition to working in the nursery, runs our Gasper “Learn and Grow” program series and holds DIY Design Consultations for homeowner gardeners.

Jeannie has a Master’s Degree in Landscape Design and is a PA Certified Horticulturalist.
